Cancellations
48 hours or more : No penalty
48 hours or less : 100% of the costs

Deposit
100% of the excursion paid at the time of the reservation.

Check-In
Check-in time is from 3 p.m. Guests arriving before this time may explore the site of Val-Jalbert on the day of arrival.

Check-Out
The room must be vacated by 11 a.m. Guests may however remain on the Val-Jalbert site until closing. There will be an additional penalty of $25 charged per additional hour of occupancy after this time. After 4 p.m., your account will automatically be charged for a full night’s stay.

Pets
No pets are allowed in our lodgings or anywhere in the village of the Val-Jalbert site.

Breakage and damages
Any breakages or damages to the room and/or equipment in our lodgings will be charged to your credit card. A list of the equipment is available in the rooms.

Non-smoking accommodations
All guestrooms of the establishment are non-smoking. A fee of $250 will be charged to guests who do not comply with this policy.

Parking
Parking is limited to one space per car per anticipated room and are located behind the period houses. Please note that a designated spot will be assigned for the duration of your stay. For your visitors, the public parking lot is available for their convenience.

Special Requests (meals and transportation)
For any special menu requests, it is important to inform us 48 hours before arrival. To view our menu please click the following link: pdfmenu2011soir Please note that no transportation will be provided on the site at night. Guests must walk from the mill (supper) to their rooms (general store or period houses). If you have specific transportation needs, please let us know at least 48 hours before your arrival.

Internet
A free wireless network is available in all rooms and public areas.

Check-Out
You must leave your campsite by 3 p.m. There will be an additional penalty of $25 per hour charged after this time. After 4 p.m., your account will automatically be charged for a full night’s stay. Additional fees may be applied if the site is left in an unacceptable state.

Site capacity
There is a maximum of 6 adults allowed per campsite (only one camper per site). Every extra adult must pay the additional rate in effect at that time. It is strictly prohibited to change sites without having obtained prior permission from the management.

Pets
Pets are allowed only on the campsite grounds of which you assume full responsibility. Pets must be on a leash at all times. You must completely clean up after your pet without exception. Val-Jalbert may revoke your excursion without reimbursement if one or any of the terms and conditions are not respected.

Breakages, damages and litter
All breakages and damages to the campsite location or the equipment will be charged to your account. The campers are equally responsible for breakages caused by their guests. Campers must dispose of their garbage properly and place their recyclable materials in the designated areas.

Noise
In order to respect all guests, a daily curfew of 11 p.m. - 8 a.m. is in effect. Singing, dancing and music are all prohibited within these specified hours and those who do not respect this policy may be asked to leave the site without being reimbursed.

Parking and speed
The campers must park their vehicles at their own campsites with no exception.
The enforced speed limit is 15 km/h for all vehicles driving within the campgrounds. Motorized vehicles (ATV’S) are strictly prohibited at all times.

Campfires
Fires are only permitted in the designated areas and are subject to acceptable fire index levels.

Campground
Located at the entrance of the Historical village along the Ouiatchouan River, the campground includes 175 sites set up in wooded areas. Whether the site is located near the river or closer to the welcome area, campers have access to:


  • Sanitary facilities
  • Picnic tables
  • Two small laundry facilities
  • Dumping station
  • Free wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi)
  • Ice
  • Public phone


A new concept, the "lean to", is also available starting this year! It consists of a wooden platform (10 x 9 foot) with three walls and a roof to protect the tent, camping materials and picnic table in case of bad weather.

The services offered are suitable for all type of campers:
61 sites equipped with three services (water, electricity and sewage).
30 sites equipped with two services.
91 sites with no services (few of them with "lean to").

175 sites in all.
Pets on a leash are accepted at the camping only.



Swimming (Open June 16th, 2012)
A heated outdoor pool and the new water games for kids are available for campers and guest staying overnight in the village.

Mini-cottages
This economical formula, half way between the motel and campground, will appeal to young families who enjoy the great outdoors!

Built for four people, these 3.6 m x 4.3 m mini-cottages (12 ft x 14 ft) are electrically heated. They come equipped with a kitchen including a 2-ring stove, mini-fridge and sink. Dishes and cutlery are provided but you’ll need to rent or bring your own bedding for the length of your stay. Sanitary facilities are located at about 45 m (150 ft) from the cottages.
